Doctors' Biographies-Meet the Clinical Team at BAB Radiology
Paul Bonheim, M.D., F.A.C.R., Senior Partner at BAB Radiology. Dr. Bonheim has been with BAB Radiology since 1975. Together with Dr. Warhit they have built and expanded the BAB locations to include Hauppauge, Bay Shore, Huntington, Amityville, Commack, and Shirley. Prior to joining BAB Radiology he was the Chief of Radiology Services at Department of Veterans Affairs in Northport, New York. Dr. Bonheim's attended Pennsylvania State University, and completed his Fellowship Training at the Chicago Medical School. His internships and externships were completed at Beth Israel Hospital in Brookline, and Nassau County Medical Center-where he was Chief Resident. He is board certified in Radiology, and holds teaching appointments at the State University of NY at Stony Brook, Nassau Community College and The DVA Medical Center in Northport.
Jeffrey Warhit, M.D., D.A.B.R., Senior Partner at BAB Radiology. Dr Warhit joined BAB Radiology in 1983. Prior to joining BAB Radiology Dr. Warhit graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brooklyn College, and completed his medical school training at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Both his internships and externships where completed at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and his Radiology residency was completed at New York University Hospital. Dr. Warhit completed a Ultrasound and CT fellowship at North Shore University Hospital as well in 1983. Dr. Warhit is board certified and holds appointments at the American College of Radiology Ultrasound Accreditation Committee. He is board-certified in Radiology.
Michelle Multz, M.D. ,D.A.B.R., is an Associate Radiologist at BAB Radiology. Dr Multz joined the BAB Radiology professional staff in 1995. She is a graduate of Barnard College-Columbia University where she graduated cum laude and was a Dean's List Scholar. She completed her medical education at the New York Medical College. Dr. Multz completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, and was a Resident in Diagnostic Radiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. Dr. Multz is board certified in Radiology, and is a Diplomate for the National Board of Medical Examiners. She is also fluent in Hungarian and Hebrew.
Melissa Sapan Cohn, M.D., D.A.B.R., is an Associate Radiologist at BAB Radiology and the CAQ Neuroradiologist. Dr. Sapan has been practicing with BAB Radiology since 1996. She is a graduated from the University of Rochester cum laude and her medical education was completed at the Chicago Medical School. Dr. Sapan is a Dean’s List Scholar as well. Her internship, Residency in Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology Fellowship were completed at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset New York. Dr. Sapan is Board Certified in Radiology and has extensive publications on diagnostic radiology in multiple areas including MRI, Ultrasound, and Neuroradiology.
Philip Beuchert, M.D. ,D.A.B. R., is an Associate Radiologist at BAB Radiology. Dr. Beuchert joined the BAB practices in 1999. Dr. Beuchert is a graduate of Fordham University, and Albany Medical College. His Diagnostic Radiology Residency was completed at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York, and his Body Imaging Fellowship was completed at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York. Dr. Beuchert is board-certified in Radiology and has additional, training that was completed at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx for PET and PET-CT Imaging.
Stuart Katz, M.D.,D.A.B.R., is an Associate Radiologist at BAB Radiology. Dr. Katz joined the BAB practices in 2001. He is a graduate of Amherst College in Amherst Mass., and Cornell University Medical College where he completed his medical education. His internship and externship work was completed in Boston. He completed a Pediatric medicine internship at the Children's Hospital Medical Center in Boston and a Diagnostic Residency at Beth Israel Hospital, where he was also a Harvard Medical School Clinical fellow. Additionally, Dr. Katz has completed a fellowship in Ultrasound and Computed Tomography at the New England Deaconess Hospital and an Angiography and Interventional Radiology fellowship at the New York Medical College. He is board certified in Radiology.
Barbara Moriarty, M.D., D.A.B.R., became an Associate Radiologist at BAB Radiologist when she joined the practices in 2002. Dr. Moriarty is a graduate of Boston College, in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Her medical education was completed at SUNY Health Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Moriarty has completed residency work in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Internal Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology. Dr. Moriarty continued her fellowship studies by completing a Neuroradiology program at SUNY . She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Moriarty has also trained for PET and PET-CT Sacnning at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx.
Elizabeth Schultz, M.D., D.A.B.R., is an Associate Radiologist at BAB Radiology. She joined our practices in 2003. Dr. Schultz is a graduate of St. Peter's College and the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico. Dr. Schultz completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Additionally, Dr. Schultz has completed Postdoctoral Training at Fifth Pathway-New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry at the St. Joseph's Medical Center. She has held various academic appointments as an Assistant Professor of Radiology, at Cornell, NYU, SUNY Downstate and Albert Einstein College. She is board certified in Radiology and has published extensive educationally relevant articles and books on Muscoskeletal Imaging.
Ron Mark, M.D. D.A.B.R., is an Associate Radiologist at BAB Radiology, he joined our practices in 2004. Dr. Mark is a graduate of Boston University and completed his medical school education at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. Dr. Mark has completed a family practice Internship at SUNY Buffalo,, and was a Family Practice Resident at Columbia University in New York. He decided to pursue Radiology in 2000, and became a Radiology Resident at Yale University in Connecticut. he continued his radiology studies in 2004 with a Combined MRI Fellowship at SUNY Stony Brook. He is fluent in Spanish and Hebrew and is board certified in Radiology.
Philip Karver, M.D. D.A.B.R., is an Associate Radiologist at BAB Radiology. He became part of the BAB professional staff in 2007. He is a graduate of Bucknell University and completed his Medical College education at Bologna Medical College, Italy where he was in the top 1% of his class. His Diagnostic Residency was performed at Saint Luke's Hospital in Manhattan, and Medical Residency was completed at Staten Island Hospital. He is board certified in Radiology and a member of the New York State Medical College.
